Welcome to the Sussex Police RFC (SPRFC) Website

Initially the club was formed by and for Sussex Police Officers, but over the years has evolved and welcomed police support staff, community officers and a large amount of ‘civilians’ with no direct connection to the force other than being rugby lovers, good citizens or Ex Servicemen from all three Services, Army, Navy and RAF (Although he’s normally injured!)

We are a competitive club with a great attitude and team spirit, where enjoying ourselves off the pitch is as important as on it!   Annual Tours across the Globe are always eagerly anticipated (please view our galleries) and as well as other functions throughout the year, we all enjoy the end of season ‘black tie’ fund raising dinner were our partners and supporters are all welcomed.  

We are always looking to support our Community and Charities and have raised Thousands of pounds over the years through a variety of events including pulling a 3 ton Police Riot van a marathon 26 miles along Brighton Seafront amongst other events.

As a club we are always on the lookout for new members, whether you are part of the Police Family or not, we are always happy to welcome you into the side.

So If you are already a seasoned player looking for a new club, an Ex Serviceman looking for the banter and camaraderie or just looking to start a new sport (get out of shopping on a Saturday)
